of St. Anne's Retirement Community 

Nursing facilities have found that having pets in their buildings helps to promote mental and physical activity, alleviates loneliness and reduces stress.  Residents look forward to seeing the pets each day and having time to interact with them.   It allows residents the opportunity to experience the unconditional love of a pet and even reminisce about a time in their past when they had pets they loved.
